Isaiah Scipio is an associate lawyer with MBBM Lawyers LLP.

Before joining MBBM Lawyers LLP, Isaiah completed his summer program and articles at a leading Canadian law firm in downtown Toronto, where he gained experience in civil and corporate-commercial litigation. His background in private practice, academic research, and legal analysis has equipped him with a strong foundation for representing clients in a broad range of litigation matters.

Isaiah received his Juris Doctor from York University’s Osgoode Hall Law School in 2025. He also holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and a Master of Arts in Socio-Legal Studies, both from York University. Throughout his academic career, Isaiah was a member of York University’s Men’s Varsity Basketball Team, earning numerous academic awards while developing strong leadership, teamwork, and time-management skills as a student-athlete.

While in law school, Isaiah was actively involved with the Black Law Students’ Association and, in his final year, participated in an intensive clinical program that provided practical exposure to litigation and courtroom procedure through a judicial internship placement.

Outside of the practice of law, Isaiah enjoys basketball, music, and travel. He has completed the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru and summited Acatenango Volcano in Guatemala. He is also an avid fan of the San Francisco 49ers.
